Diehard Platinum battery

anyone have any info/opinions on this battery?went to my local sears looking for an optima yellowtop..they are out & wont sell them anymore i was offered the new Diehard Platinum battery. it has 880cca & 130min reserve its priced @ $170. its not a deep cycle batt...i mainly drive while listening to music & they audio system is pushing abt 700watts....anyone have any info/opinions on this battery? gotta use my sears card

You have to use your sears card? Why is it a gift card or something. Honestly for $170 that is so f'n overpriced I would rather piss in the wind. It would probably not help you out over what you have stock. If you can check out what kinetik has to offer and search the classifieds for used optimas or kinetiks as well try to find a dealer that will sell you one cheap.

Yeah, I wouldn't pay that... however I do think Diehard batteries are extremely reliable. I had an 8year old one in my crown vic, and never failed to start the car. Granted I didn't have that big of a system in it, but there was only a 60amp alt on it. I wouldn't hesiate to buy another.

Install it yourself, my mom came home one day and said she got a battery in her car.... they charged her like 30 dollars to take 2 wire off, the put em back on.....
