Unbelievable, Amp only turned up a quarter and my CD player skips, but it needs replaced. I cant believe how crisp and punchy it sounds, about even with the mag, but the composite cone probably has something to do with it.

We are pretty certain that all the mechanical noise (or a large part of it)Was being caused by some metal shavings we found rubbing on the coil.

at least part of it was from some metal shavings that we were able to get out.

we didn't run it free air after that to see if it still made much noise.

but there is no audible noise while it is in the box.
