Desings for one 18" RD blowthru

you're wanting to have an 18" sub... horizontal in a 17" tall space? does this not sound incorrect? do you mean at an angle?
i think you mean verticle would be incorrect the max dimension is 17H the sub would be laying[ie horizontal] (if possible, or tilted) im thinking tilted is the only way correct ?

its a 91' chevy truck fleetside standard cab

yes, I believe if you made it at a 45 deg. angle it would probly work out best,

but you would realley have to secure it good with extra bracing so it wont come loose.

if 17" tall is your max demention, id go no larger than 16" tall

because you are going to want to insulate the actual box off of your bed

of the truck or else it will vibrate and create all kinds of racket.

that and if you get a bed top it might also take a tiny bit of space too. ?

ok . . yea the 17 is actually taking those issues into consideration, thanx

What about a 4th order? You could have the sub firing either up or down into a ported chamber and just the port would fire into the cab.

isnt that basicaly a sealed box with a tunnel into the cab ? what is it when there is a port and then ported into the cab ? 6th ?
4th order is sealed chamber firing into a ported chamber and the ported chamber is the only part of the box coming into the cab. I'm not sure if the sealed box tunneling into the cab is considered a 4th order, because that is exactly what I wanted to do but there has to be more to it than that I would think (size of tunnel has to have some effect on sound).
