Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): Slot

any reasons why you putting it in the back seat? thats a horrible place for you to try and get loud with. Keep it in the trunk.

With the L port. Say I need 28 inches in length and can only go back 20 for example, I know id need an additional 8 inches along the back. But would I measure the inside of port or very outside edge?

And why would the backseat be horrible? I don't think I'll have trunk room for 4cubic feet. Kinda figured sub and port forward like right behind the seat would be pretty darn loud?

I get that it needs to be 28. But the wall side of the port is gonna measure longer then the inside if it's an L port. using my above example I need 28 inches can only go back 20. So my outside wall I'd have 20" but inside of port would be 16" would I measure my additional 8" from the outside wall or from the inside 16" to go along the back wall. If that makes sense

Ok. First off.. Rule 1 you must maintain the same amout of port are throughout the port.

So lets say your slot port is 15hx3w.

So if your box is 23 deep internal. You can have the port wall 20" to maintain the 3" width.

Now that you have that cleared up. If you use a 20" peace and screw it behind the panel the opening is the port is actually 20.75 if you use 3/4 ply..

That being said you need to screw the 2nd piece into the first piece to make the "L" port. That also adds .75" of length to the port. So techinally you would need a piece 6.5" long to get 28" of port length.

If you make the port 20.75 inches long and screw it flush with the port opening panel then you make the 2nd peace 6.5"
