Dennis Kucinich is trying to get Bush impeached

You guys are putting way too much emphasis on Bush's role in the US. The system is designed to make the President the face of an administration, but he does not make all the decisions and the decisions he makes are guided by the intelligence and opinions of those in his cabinet.

You expend way too much effort trying to guide people who would rather not listen to you...no matter how correct you actually are.

But I do like to read what you write...

Who cares if Bush is impeached. Even if they do pursue legal action after impeachment, he'd be out of office by the time proceedings would start. Somebody's just looking for attention and his last name begins with a K

and yes...

Too many people jump on the Bush bash bandwagon because its trendy and they are dumb. Did Bush make mistakes, of course, is he the sole owner of responsibility of our nations current state....no. There are other pieces of the government that have put us where we are...hell many average joe citizens in this country have helped to put us where we are.

what you have written is good, in theory only!!!! Bush and Cheney have said on multiple times and levels that the final decisions are made by them and them alone. For example, prior to the Iraq war, Bush stated he was going with or without the approval by congress or the UN.

As I have stated previously, they have passed many bills and laws that have given presidential powers that have begun to turn this nation into a totalitarion state and will eventually remove democracy from the United States.

"I'm the commander — see, I don't need to explain — I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being president." —as quoted in Bob Woodward's Bush at War.

If you think Bush was comfortable going into Iraq, you are badly mistaken. He was pushed into it by Cheney and Rumsfeld. He was presented shoddy intelligence from Tenet, and even Bush recognized that the intelligence was poor. According to an ex-CIA agent (can't remember his name), Bush looked at Tenet and said "That's it?" Tenet responded that it was rock solid. A few days later, Bush went to Condoleeza Rice if she thought he should continue to pursue Iraq because he wasn't sure it was the right move....Rice responded that she thought yes, it was a good idea. That is from a personal friend of Rice's who also wrote a biography of her.

One of my favourite Bush moments was before the first bombing of Iraq. Bush received a late night call saying they were fairly sure of where Hussein was. Cheney and Rumsfeld pushed Bush to authorize the attack immediately. Bush responded by telling them that he had given his word that he wouldn't bomb until after the deadline he had provided him, and that he would not back down from that.

Bush is not near as much of a tyrant as you paint him to be. He is not some wild renegade who wakes up in the morning with a desire to oppose everyone else. He doesn't wake up in the morning wanting to bomb other countries unconditionally. In some instances (particularly wiretapping and torture instances), he should have used better discretion, but to lay an entire country's failings on a single man is just ludicrous.

I'm glad that you like to read it. That is the reason I post...to satisfy those who agree, sway those who don't, and make the rest at least ask some hard questions.

He's stupid though.
Bush? Not completely disagreeing with you there; I wouldn't say he's stupid, per se, just a man of average intelligence from a rich, privileged, well-connected, Texas family. Politics, in particular, is not designed to reward the most intelligent people.

Some would rather not think about the hard questions and just roll with the easy...sad but true //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I believe Bush is responsible for everything that comes out of his appointed positions though. He chose those people, and he gives the final verdict on what is presented to him, he is the decider.

Blame lies on him, but also others outside the executive branch, and on the common people of this country. Its not as easy as just blaming one person. People need to get more in tune with what their congressmen/reps and state/local governments are doing instead of focusing solely on the president as a scapegoat.

You have proven my stance even more - Bush relied on "dodgy" intelligence by his VP and Tenet; intelligence that was later proven to be falsified - the same falsified intelligence that Rice based her opinion on that persuaded BUSH TO MAKE THE FINAL CALL TO GO TO WAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT IS SO FVCKING HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are saying BUSH KNEW THE INTELLIGENCE WAS "DODGY" and STILL DECIDED TO PERSUE WAR WITH IRAQ - THE HE IS RESPONSIBLE AS WELL AS THOSE THAT FALSIFIED THE INTELLIGENCE!!!!!!!! ULTIMATELY THE DECISION WAS BUSH'S!!!!!!!

WHAT YOU ALSO FAIL TO MENTION IS THAT THE SEC. OF DEFENSE COLIN POWELL WAS EXCLUDED FROM THESE DISCUSSION'S AND WAS GIVEN HIS SPEECH FROM CHENEY TO PRESENT TO CONGRESS, KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING ON COLIN POWELL THEN RESIGNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST SIGN THAT SOMETHING WAS NOT RIGHT!!!!!

some would rather believe what they see on Fox and not research and discover the truth...

agreed, he needs to be held responsible for those under him!!!!

agreed, more personal accountability for their actions, start with Bush and Cheney and then move on to the public!!!
