Dennis Kucinich is a ****ing idiot...end of story.
Dunno about that....he is similar to Ron Paul in that many of his policies are at least based in a belief in adhering to the US constitution. He is also against the current taxation system and the IRS, for perfectly logical reasons.
Just to make sure everyone understands....the act of impeachment does not specifically mean that they are forcefully removed from office. Impeachment is simply a legal statement of charges against the individual; to remove them from office, they must be impeached AND be convicted.
However, impeachment is very rare, particularly in the US. For example, Kucinich submitted 35 articles of impeachment to the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives will then pass these articles of impeachment to the House Committee on the Judiciary, who will decide by majority vote if there are any real grounds for impeachment. If they feel there are grounds for impeachment, they will provide the whole House of Representatives with a report outlining each specific reason and will make a recommendation based on the information in the report.
The House of Representatives will then vote; if a majority vote decides that impeachment proceedings should be carried out, "managers" will be selected to present the case before the Senate (after notifying the Senate that they will be doing so and receiving a response from the Senate indicating they are ready to proceed). A formal trial is then held, after which the person in question can be convicted by a 2/3 majority Senate vote, and removed from office.
As you can see, it is a very long and convoluted process. Honestly, it was more likely that Cheney would be impeached (also led by Kucinich) than it is Bush will be impeached. If Bush is impeached and convicted, he will lose pension and secret service, which is part of the reason why it is being brought up even at this late stage in his term.
