DEI Back up battery(520t)??

I couldn't get mine to work when I first installed it. I changed the battery to a larger battery that I got from an electronics store locally. Don't know how long it will last now, but at least it works. I think I put something in just under 2 amp hours.

I dont know if its true but my installer said it would be less than two minutes. He said a motorcycle battery would be more efficient that this...

i killed my battery on my car and the alarm was still working off the battery backup about a month later, but then another time something happened it only worked for like 10 min.

Heck, I use my 2nd car audio batt (Stinger SP1700 Power2dB) as a back up battery for the alarm.

No issues here about how long the batt will power up the alarm if main battery power is lost. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

How long you think it would last if engine battery is cut?
There are too many variables to determine that based on battery size, performance and how much current the alarm draws when cycling. I couldnt even begin to guess honestly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Anyone ever used one of these with CAR security??????

I have not personally used one, but I don't see why not. They are the same as the DEI 520T, but just more Amp hours.

I am also sure you could use the power loss trigger alarm module that comes with the 520T with them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
