Decrease in Voltage Capacitor

Is it normal for a 1 farad Capacitor for the car to decrease in voltage over a course of time ... this morning when the capacitor was charged it was at 12.5 volts .. ( 11 am) when i check now (6 pm) it shows 7.8 Volts ...

Is my cap leaking? or this is normal?

Oh I forgot .. I first charged it, then just had the Capacitor sitting out (nothing connected to it)

It's completely normal... You shouldn't be concerned with that modest loss.

It's not a perfect method of storage.

So here, I've just completed installing everything!

If the voltage is dropping at 0.01 every 5 sec or so ... but then its getting charged back up from the baterry ... will my battery die out after a period of time?

How much current is being drawed from the battery to charge the cap that few volts?

The amount is so pathetically marginal it's not worth discussing...

It's like a fly taking a drink out of a bathtub...

It may remove some of the water, but it'll never effect the total.
