Decision on first set up

Alright everyone, I'm new to everything, but I've done some research.

I'm planning out my first system, buts it's going to be on a budget. I want to start out with something decent. So far, I've came down to deciding between 2 sundown sa-8 or 2 skar vvx8's. I know their underrated and all that. But which ones do you guys think is better for the price.

Also if someone could recommend an amp that will give these plenty of pure and clean power for $200 or less. I know with that price it's limited but I just want something decent. Like sundown, dc, or anything like that just cheaper lol.

dont think u could go wrong with either of thos subs, there is a huge boner over the ap 1500 right now, does rated and its cheap. if it was me i would go with the skars.

Please give more info. Like what kind of car and why do you need 8" subs? Also the box is a bug part of how good a sub is, have you figured out where you will be installing these?

Well its going into the trunk of a 97 Cadillac eldorado. I planned on building a ported box for them. My trunk space is kinda limited. Height wise. The measurements are 16"h x 38"w x 28"d. It's not that I NEED 8" subs. I just want to have the best that I can possibly afford. I don't have to have 8's, that's why I asked for any suggestions

Please consider bigger subs. I don't have time for a complete answer on why, but the cliff notes version - bigger subs move more air, have bigger motors and handle more power. Don't think that you need two of them - a single 12 will kill 2 8" subs in every way, if the box is made correctly.

cadence beastmaster 15 d2 brand new with original box 175 picked up

was entirely hand built in the us, you will not find a us built sub for under 200 anywhere was a 600 dollar sub new back in 04



i know someone local that can build a custom box kerf port painted and carpeted for under 100 if you pick it up. and i can help u install it.

i also have an orion hcca tc9 based subwoofer 10 inch 1200rms the tc9 motor sells for 50-75 alone only 100 bucks. just sent a tc9 motor to spl he built me a new sub i will have thur to show you.

SS Icon 12 on a AP1500. Should cost you less than 500 for both.
