alright I only got about 300 or so dollars to spend so Im just looking at a pair of 10's and a decent amp (got wood for speakers already) just curious if I should maybe get a package of stuff or what I should do?

And you can get those subs as Dual 2 so you can wire them series and get the 850 @ 2 ohms. Those subs and that amp should match up nice and it is right around 300 shipped

couple of Memphis PRs and a PR500 amp is also under 300 bucks

I would avoid that profile brand stuff - i have also seen sweet deals on ebay

for eclipse subs.....alotta bag for the bucks there

Is profile not good? I have owned 3 of their amps and never had any trouble. Of course I am still a noob to car audio, so I really have no idea what I am listening for or what to expect from a amp.

They're actually supposed to be one of the better budget amps out there from what I hear. Come to think of it, I think excellerator is the first person I've heard say anything negative about them. However, I've no personal experience with these, so I can't say either way.

alright so I was using a box/port calc and heres what I came up with...Using 2 of the ED 10's

Box Width: 27in

Box Height:9in

Box Depth:20in

Wood thickness: .75

Square port height: 7.5in

Square port width: 3in

Square port length 1: 16.25in

Square port length 2: 8in

Total port length: 29.5

etc etc about the info

1.65cu ft

would that be good or to much, not enough?
