anyone ever hear or use these subs? Also, what size box would you use ported for one of them? Just sold my RE SE 12 and im looking for a couple small subs I can pop under the seats in my tacoma. Not looking for huge bass anymore, but still want a little bit....

I have 6 & they perform great!! can take 50-60 rms ported & will surprise you in how loud they can get.

Get 4 & give them 1 cube each + port, tune to 35-40hz, you'll enjoy it.

I am comparing them to tc3k, re mx 12", titanic mkiii 15". By no means am i saying this will be earth shattering or louder than any of those subs, but for their size they pack a punch.

ya thats why i was also asking about the 6-1/2....

anothing thing. doesnt have to go under seat, i mean, the truck IS extended cab but only 2 door...so far i've never had (well, needed to) put someone in the back.

I just dont want the footprint of a 12. Another option could be to build a very short, but width and depth of back seating area, then pop 2 or 4 in, and still have a spot on top of box to put cargo....

lol. tbh that would be quite impressive to see (just seeing all of them move together is cool to me) but thats a bit off my intentions lol. I think 2 or 4 of these would be plenty of bass for me now.

Why not do an IB setup? You can have all your room in your trunk, but still have a good pound in your system. Just a thought. That's what I plan on doing once I find a decent speaker that does well in an IB setup.

ttt, just wondering. sold my RE and I'm lookin for somethin I can get that'll keep outta the way in the cab, yet still give a little bass.... anyone use these?

I think I've got my next sub setup narrowed down to either eight Tang Band 6.5's, four RE8's, or two Alpine Type-S 10's. I know that doesn't help you much, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Apparently PE has free shipping on orders over $99 now too.

hmm. I also considered a pair or 4 re8's... either way, you gotta keep me informed to what ya get, and how it all works out for you!

1 cube per 5 1/2 seems way to big....

those are impressive little woofers though. Id go with the 6 1/2" over the 5 1/2"

or get the re8's
