alright I only got about 300 or so dollars to spend so Im just looking at a pair of 10's and a decent amp (got wood for speakers already) just curious if I should maybe get a package of stuff or what I should do?
Is there a specific reason for 10" subs? Is there a size constraint for the box or just a random decision. I would suggest larger is better as they will more readily play the lower frequency range than a smaller woofer. 12" is the most popular and offers the most options. You could even go 15" or 18" if you want. You may not necessarily need two either as one larger, high excursion sub can move a lot of air, and if ported it's more of a thermal limitations than anything else.
i have a great hu for sale that has ta, 3 way crossover, 10 band graphic eq. it's the clarion dxz775usb ebay has em for 199+shipping my price 150 shipped.
actually this is in the trunk of a del sol so, give or take can only have about 11 inch height..cause I like bass and all but right behind the seats is like woah.
I too would buy one 12. I think you'll be able to stick in your price range easier if you are just going with one 12 and an amp (of course wiring and install too).
