decent priced high wattage amp ?

I need an amp that does either 400-500 x2 @ 2ohms or does 800-1000 x1@ 4ohms. budget is tight looking for around $250 or less
Hey I have an audiobahn a8002j 500x2@2 ohms or 1000x1@4 ohms never been in protect does rated power only like five months old and barely used in that time as I was building all the time so maybe played one or two days a week, doesn't get hot my kids could touch it and no problems voltmeter and lights up blue chrome finish $150 I can send pics hit me up if interested

I'll be running 2 subs I have a 12w6v2 and a 10w3v3 2ohm. the ppi i650 does 650 @ 2ohms which will over power one of my subs and @4ohms its not enough power I'm looking for either 400-500 x2 @ 2ohms or does 800-1000 x1@ 4ohms. its basically the same power divided by or multiplied by 2. 10w3 rms is around 400-500 and the w6v2 is 400-500 watts. so 400-500 would be safe per sub. the previous amp i was using was a e1400d and died in april. I don't drive as much as I used to so the projects been sitting on the back burner. also the amp can't be bigger then 13x16x2.4. I care more about sound quality then spl. oh and no thanks on the audiobahn it looks like it would do what I want but I've just have never been a fan thanks though.

You don't want to mix subs. If you have mixed subs, you don't care about sound quality.

no room, plus these are already mounted the amp for the 12w6 quit so i had a small amp and the 10 laying around that I made to for it in the first place. these are in my 87 full size jimmy but mounted in such a way that i can still use all the space in it. I hate sound systems that render it useless. but if it makes you feel better I have a 12w3v3 400-500 rms and a 12w6v2 400-500 rms

get matching subs yes hifonics zrx1200d, I go with the 1200 cause I sure its distorted at that wattage and not maxing it at 1200 would be good. Its mono only though just wire in parallel hifonics never disappoints. $160 around that area.

the 1200d is only 400 @4ohms, the 3200 would work if it wasn't 20 inches long, wait i see what you saying now. the 12w6 is a dual voice coil so its set up in 2 ohm, then the other as 2 yeah ok. i got it lol

No room? A pair of matching 10s/12s would sound much better and use about the same amount of space. If you're not going listen to us about the subs and stick to your setup, you're probably not going to get much quality advice as far as an amp goes.

Example: the ZRX series of Hifonics amps are a bunch of crap. If I were you, I'd sell the JLs on craigslist (JL is an easy brand to sell locally) and get some matching subs that can be wired to an impedance of 1 ohm, and buying your amp according to that.

Ok I highly don't recommend this But this is what will work, Take your w6 dual voice coil and jump it, then from there wire it in parallel to your svc. Not sure what brand that is. Your final impedence will be 1Ω, The zrx1200 will put out a 1200watt maximum wattage. Turn your gain down alittle so your not driving it that high its a cheap amp. And there you go. But for the love of god get matching subs!
