all right I did some reading around I'll drop the 10, whats a decent amp for the w6 I like the jl 500/1 but I'd like to try something else I've been using jl for a while I need a new flavor

Since it's a dual 4 ohm you'll need an amp that does around 500w at 2 ohms.

Personally, I'd look for some of these in good condition used:

JL 500/1, it'll do 500w at all ohm loads

Rockford Fosgate 500BDCP (make sure it's the cp version; it provides 500w at all ohm loads similar to the 500/1)

MMATs D600.2 or the newer M600.2 - they both do around 500-600w at 2 ohms, but on music will do slightly less power. They're still great (and very efficient) amps

yes drop that other speaker. One thing I don't like about JL is there marketing and trying to come out with RIPS OHM technology making it very hard to run anything else then JL on JL. But like above you can get a used jl/500 in my area for $200

EDIT I want to apologize I don't know why I kept thinking of the hifonics brutus 1200 as the zrx. Do not get the zrx.

alright signal to noise ration mmat is 85db and jl 500/1 is 95db is that a big difference how does that play into sound quality if at all
