Like I said before, $200 isn't going to get you the best alarm. But a Viper alarm is one of the best.

I just picked up a Clifford 50.5x.

remote start, Keyless, trunk release 1 mile range. Previously had the Autopage 727lcd. It was nice as well. I just wanted to go for something with a little more range on the alarm/remote start.

you can get a viper 5900 for under $200, great alarm, have had some problems with them being DOA out of the box but its been awhile

But to the OP have you ever installed an alarm?

i would definitively recommend getting someone who has installed one before to help, and depending on your vehicle could be an extreme headache
