Decent advise on a system setup

Im still confused tho by the RMS of an amp and sub. So how do i match the RMS on an amp with a sub or vise versa? Example if i have an amp that has:
Max power(1 ohm)3000wx1

Rms power (1 ohm) 2100x1

Rms power (2 ohm)-1500wx1

Rms power(4 ohms)-1000wx1

Do i find a sub that its RMS matchs either one of the amps RMS that it can go to?

another example lets take a power acoustic amp that does:

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 1700 watts x 1

2 ohms: 2500 watts x 1

1 ohm: 3200 watts x 1

Max power output: 5500 watts

I wanted to find a sub to match that, Do i find a sub that matchs which ohm(s)? 1ohm?2ohm?4ohm?

So if i get 2 12" subs that does a certain amount of RMS, lets say they do 1000RMS each, do i add them as if there 2000RMS total and match the Amps RMS with the 2000RMS?
How about this. Stop looking at very junky amps. Try that first. If its not around $400 and up for 2000 watts its not ligit.

But dosn't answer my question how to match up subs and amps, I just need to know how to do that so i can get the right system for what I can afford.

First you need to know what amps have inflated ratings. How can you match up anything if you dont know what the amp or subs really do? 500 wats from a good amp will outdo 3000 BOSS or Power Acustic watts

Ok in an ideal world how do i match subs and amps?

ok lets take the amp i have the planet audio, not even close to the $400 your talking about but that what i could afford at the moment, So if i wanted to match a sub to the 2100@1ohm but like you said if it isn't a good amp you dont get what it says you get but with your experience with systems, do i look for a sub with a RMS to close to the 2100 of the amp?

Whats the exact model of the amp? You are prob going to want a good 750 watt sub but I'll look it up. Whats the budget for a sub AND BOX, the box is the most important part, a good one will run around $200.

I would sell the amp. A good tried and true enrty level brand that I always go to is Alpine.

The amp is PLANET AUDIO AC3000.1D CLASS D MONOBLOCK 3000W 1 OHM if thats what you were asking for, and budget im staying minimum to what im going to need for your suggestions. Right now im trying to get a good bass system without spending to much money on it.

anyways, in simple words subwoofers can be pushed a little more than what they are rated (rms)

amps most of the times will not do the rated they specify (rms)

your amp you will need subwoofer that can perform at about 800-900 watts

the c2 threatcon and the american bass xfl will work. in this case the XFL will work better but if strap for money the C2 threatcon priced $129 each free ship, will work on your setup.

Ok how would i match a sub for that particular amp? as stated above to i match the Subs RMS with the 1ohm, but since theres going to be two subs do i take the 1ohm at 2100 and devide it by two and have each sub around that RMS?

you should not comment on these kind of thread that people have a budget since you don't know anything about budget, just drive around in your scion
Well this Scion will smoke check your setup. What do you drive?

I can lay out a entry level setup, no such thing as budget. I'll take 500 good watts over the crap you want to push
