Decent advise on a system setup

It's cool. Planet audio is decent according to dumba$$ up there.
There's no need to suggest amps if he can't afford a new one at the moment. He can get new subs right now and then save up for a higher quality amp. No need for useless name calling.

yes you are overpowering it. less expensive than buying true 1k subwoofers
example I have 2 skar vvx 15 inch 600 watt dvc 4 i am powering both of them with a brz 1700.1d @ 1 ohm

I most likley is giving these subs total of 1400 watts due to my electrical
do you equate how much power you are putting out work your electrical

That's fine but why are people telling this guy to get big subs? Here you go. AC3000.1. 50a fusing. It's the same price as a good 500 watt amp. Ain't that something. http://images.planetaudiousa.com/manuals/AC3000.1D_DOWNLOAD_1.PDF
so much fail

What? You talking to me?
Co signing.

Have seen that someone knows there amp is putting out 1400rms because of their electrical. Also you can run a sub with a blown coil at half power. Epic fail on this thread. The best advice for this dude is 2 save and come back and do it right

You *could* get a legitimate 1000w or so rating out of a 50a fuse but I highly doubt it from this amp. Look at MMats who has a 60a fuse on their 1000w amp. Of course, the MMats is crazy efficient and doesn't overfuse like most companies do to make their amps appear to put out more power.

But like I said, I doubt this amp is putting out anywhere near that power. The BB lines of PA aren't too bad (notice the too), but the rest are completely overrated. It's kind of like Crunch (except on an even lower level) - everything is subpar except for one of the amps (the older ground pounder pro 3k)

You have to consider what ohm you can wire the sub to. The sub will perform at what ever ohm but it will ask the amp for more/less power depending on how its wired. . If you wire the sub down to 2 ohms the sub will ask the amp to deliver power at 2ohms. Ohms is like the running pace of the amp. Work it too hard it will have a heart attack. Work it to easy and it never reaches its potential. Find the right pace and it can complete a marathon. Example: 2ohm stable 1000 watt amp and svc 4ohm 500 watt sub. The 1000 watts @2ohm is like your base line number. You can run the sub so called regular and it will ask the amp to deliver power at 4 ohm ( 4 ohm sub). Since the amp is 1000 at 2 ohms its 500 at 4 ohm. You half going up, double going down. If you wire the sub down to 2 ohms it will ask the amp to deliver power at 2 ohms which the amp rating tells you it will do 1000 watts. What to consider- 1000 is more than sub can handle. Now if you have more than one sub and/or voice coil you could wire the sub to 1 ohm. If you ask the amp to deliver power at 1 ohm ( going down doubles) you will get 2000 watts which the amp can't handle. You have to UNDERSTAND what wiring configuration does to the amount of power you ask the amp for. Look at a wiring diagram and figure out what amount of voice coils will allow you to wire your setup in a way that asks your amp to deliver power in a way it can handle. I really hope this helps you understand. Like someone else said match a new set of subs to your existing amp and see if you like it!
