Even after Dyna's inferiority has been explained to you, more than once, you still 'fail to see how its inferior'.... and you are asking me if Im dense? lol! Let me spell this out for you and any other extremely slow individuals who might be reading.... thinner foil AND thinner butyl equals.... inferior product... for more money.
I asked you this in my previous reply and you never responded... Why do you think your one-time 'good deal' on an inferior product has any relevance to what the OP, or any of us for that matter, should buy? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif lol Maybe you just dont understand what inferior means?

This is you: "Dyna is thinner and has less foil, but I fail to see how its inferior. I got a super duper deal on Dyna, lets go tell everyone!"

Get a clue.
And you sir are just a pathetic fanboy. Get a life and spit out Second Skin's **** before it cums down your throat and chokes you to death. You sir are very pathetic. Fuck off.

Come back when you grow up, kid. And after that, you can call me sir when we talk.

Whatever. I'm not the fanboy.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

A fanboy is someone whom praises product or brand based on no facts. That would be you, with your talk of 'inaudible differences' and denials that it is inferior. Go ahead, dispute any of my points, I dare you to even try... that dynamat is inferior in performance, more expensive, and your one-time deal doesn't mean shit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
And, you forgot to say sir.

I will probably get and try the regular damplifier for my trunk. I got the dynamat extreme for my doors. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Based on a 4 year old test? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
Based on multiple reports of its constraining layer separating, and the edges of the substrate itself failing even after only a few days. All reports you already know about, but chose to ignore and focus on your '4 year old test' theory. Yet another example of your blind loyalty to eD.

Problems from 6 months ago. Analysis.

Product failures and QC issues aside, ED's decision to sell a butyl product with a Mylar facing demonstrates either complete ignorance about how these things work, contempt for their customers or both. The products being discussed in this thread - Damplifier, Dynamat Xtreme, etc. are constrained layer dampers. They require a facing that is considerably stiffer than the viscoelastic adhesive. Mylar doesn't fit the bill and results in what would be an extensional damper - like liquid products - except that the adhesive consistency is completely wrong for that application.

They basically chose a cheap substitute for foil, apparently because it looks like foil, and used it to create a product that does almost nothing. I've done performance testing that indicates that it takes ~ 6 times as much eDead V1SE² to equal the performance of Dynamat Xtreme, the product they have claimed V1SE² is better than.

I don't know how else you would describe a product that performs poorly, has a history of failure in use and actually costs more to achieve a similar result, brought to you by a company with a history of misrepresenting their sound deadening offerings. I guess it is better than nothing if it doesn't fall off, but that seems like a strange thing to get so excited about.

eDead is not "deadener" if one is to define the conditions for a product to be called such a thing. In ca.com lingo, those that buy it thinking it is = epic fail.

He knows already. He's read the deadener threads before. Its an act he likes to play out here all the time. At this point he will either reply with some vague form of acceptance of the truth about eD, or he will slink away and stop responding to this thread even though we both know he's still reading it. Either way, next eD thread that pops up he'll be right back to regurgitate the same tired eD excuses and pretend he has no idea the truth about eD is so ugly.
