Deadening an entire Car..

Anyone gone through the trouble of doing this?

I was considering: trunk, doors, wheel wells, roof, floor, maybe hood, license plate, tails..

What else is there, how much did you run you, and exactly how much deadener should you buy? I suppose that depends on the deadener you use, thickness, how many layers you want, etc.. I'm assuming it's gonna run me 700+ bucks plus to do it and I'm really wondering how quiet it's gonna be.

well ibeleive i have used about 300sqft in my car total. still got a little more to do. edead is some good stuff its cheap also second skin audio works great. ss is a little more expensive but it isnt made out of tar so it wont stink up your car also adhears to roofs an things much better. but if your just lookin to get er done edead is fairly in expensive and forum members get a 20% discount

Yea, I was looking at Second Skin first and I was like... good *******, it'd cost me like 1500 bucks to use it to dampen my whole car. Any alternatives that don't stink of tar but isn't extremely expensive either?

i think biabia322 was selling some. i am not to sure it he is anymore tho. but i have heard from some guys that they get negative dB gains from to much deadining. but SPL might not matter for you so idk.

peel and seal, or if you have the time and enjoy stress, weather stripping. lol.
