deadener on hood??

nope... played with the engine off for a few seconds and it was definetely the sub that was shaking the hood... the sub faces forward so the firewall and everything in front of it shakes like a mofo.

I wouldn't chance rubberized asphalt dripping onto my engine. Maybe try some bracing of some sort and tightening bolts under the hood.
no idea what kind you are using but real deadener is not asphalt based
Maybe the spray on type?
this

also for the noobs that dont know why to deaden your hood. it keeps engine noise down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Also keeps the hood cooler.
