deadener on hood??

anybody do this?? just wondering if it gets too hot under the hood for the deadener?

nope... played with the engine off for a few seconds and it was definetely the sub that was shaking the hood... the sub faces forward so the firewall and everything in front of it shakes like a mofo.

well tru it out.. maybe it just need to get tighten from the bolts of the hood

I wouldn't chance rubberized asphalt dripping onto my engine. Maybe try some bracing of some sort and tightening bolts under the hood.

no idea what kind you are using but real deadener is not asphalt based

I might try bracing it.... I dont know whats gonna happen when I bump up the power... because after voltage drop and rise im guessing my moofer is only seeing about 1500 watts...

I would look into a spray.

I would personally advise you against doing this with any mat out there.
