dead battery

ok today i took apart my dash cuz my reciever kept shutting off when my subs hit really hard it would just flash and turn back on.. so i made sure the ground coming from the sony was hooked directly to the wire on the wiring harness and it was so i turn it on and im gettin just a steady noise from the subs and when i go back to the trunk and touch the amp the speakers bump id understand this..

anyways i called it done because ihad to go to work and later that night it ketp diming and then i would turn the car off and it would get better somethings drainging my batterie...its a new battery and its reading dead but its charing right now....

so could this be any other wire besides the ground or could it possible be the remote wires.. im gonna mess with it tomrrow just unplug my radio and see what happens... if thats the case then im gonna check all my connections on the harness..

anyone else experience this problem? wats draing my batterie????

no its off its i think it could be the alternator but im not sure...i took stereo out again and look there are no loose wires the only wire i touched was the ground i got rid of all the noise in my subs but still cant seem to find out wats drainging my bat or if its the alternator..

jus curious how much is a alternor for a cav just an estimate cuz im like broke right now

How long are your trips? What size alt do you have? Whats the amp draw on the car alone, and the amp draw from your amp? Do your lights also dim like your HU? Sounds like somthing is wrong with your charging system.
