box was giving me problems so i built another one. like my last one its 45 inches wide, 19 tall, 20 deep, ported at 33hz but this time i finished painting the inside of the port and did a 45 inthe port corner. cutting the 45 was wat cut my finger. also found out another reason y it wasnt as loud....my trunk latch was broken at the spot welds and cracked the metal so it was up about 2 inches from closing letting tons of air out the back and around the trunk.

pics of damage

i put 2 self tapping scres on the side of it to hold it down

i also put 2 small blocks of wood to hold the box from moving and its working great.

and i FUC KIN hate liquid nails it ***** ass, it didnt hold **** together like wood glue im never using it again, id rather build a box with superglue lol

you should try to use less screws. you are actually weakening the joints. Titebond is the best way to go with wood glue.
i just didnt want the thing to fly apart. and by the port all but one screw wobbled loose making the box thats y its 2 sets on it i countersunk those so more meat of the screw was though it

thats that liquid nails for you, sh itty ass glue never again

the stuff was still moving around after 20 minutes. if it was 20 minutes with wood glue it would be able to support my weight

this

then your glue is weak and not done setting. Screws are only used to hold the panels together long enough for the glue to dry.
this

Its still not going to hold your box together.
this

To sum it up, use less screws, more titebond, no liquid nails.

Yea liquid nails *****. On my boxes I use tite bond 2 sometimes screws most times not, clamps ftw. Box looks ok needs sanding. If u ever in mooresville area hit me up, would like to check it out. I've done quite a few customers builds in charlotte.
