as the title say i'm looking into buying a digital designs 2510 i havn't decided on dual 2, dual 4

but i need an amp recommendation 700-1000w 1 ohm 2 ohm 4ohm you get the picture

also the box i have designed at the moment is 2 cubes tuned to 40hz this is bigger than the recomemded but it should be fine right

i'm not a total idiot at car audio and i normally do installs but i don't recommend equipment just install and now i want a decent system

my budget is 1500 but less is better

i'm also looking for a decent 4 channel that puts out bout 80 rms channel

all help is appreciated

What did Tony recommend?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

In all seriousness, I would recommend the Dual 2 ohm 2510 because generally it is easier to find a cheap class D that will give you that kind of power at 1 ohm than it will be to find something that will give you that kind of power at 2 or 4 ohms. When it comes to the Class D amplifiers, pick your poison. Just about anything that comes out of the Zenon build house should fit your needs.

As for the 4 channel amplifier, the sky is pretty much the limit there. If Crutchfield was still blowing them out, I would have recommended the Clarion APX 4 channel but those deals seem to be gone now that the 2010 line is starting to hit the market. The MB Quart Discus series amplifiers seem to get rave reviews on this forum too. I am not much of a Maxxsonics fan, but for the price, I would almost be tempted to try one if I were in the market for a 4 channel amplifier.

Getting to your enclosure, you should be fine with it being a tad bit bigger and being tuned a little higher. I would have probably recommended 1.5 cubic feet net tuned to 35 Hz, but 2 cubic feet tuned to 40 Hz shouldn't be that bad. Worse case, you could always take up a little internal volume with a shrink wrapped Styrofoam block and experiment.

i haven't really talked to about it seeing that he back dd and lunar amps not that their not good i was just looking for something different like

kicker 750.1

kenwood 1200m

polk audio 1200.1

mtx 800 watt model (really don't like mtx not even enough to look up model number)

sundown 1000, 1200

mb quart 1500

actually i can go on for a good bit but i was looking for someone elses opinion i'm personally looking at the kenwood but a 400 for the amp which really isn't bad i wanted a second opinion

yea it is kinda shocking and i can pick one up at sonny's for 400 which honestly isn't bad, sonny's has the best prices for kenwood that i've found for being local and even though they tried telling me a 10 was a 12 they normally are really good with their service
