dd recone idea what do you think?

How hard and safe is it to cut the tinsel leads down to where the cone and spider meet and but 8g power wire in it? An how do you go about doing that?

feed back please...or can you up grade tinsel leads at dd?

They have to be a special type of tinsel lead that will weave between the suspension. You can't just do it to any subs. tuan

you don't want to put heavy wire all the way down there. you'll be adding a lot of moving mass. and if it's only on one side, it is possible everything can tweek over and cause an unhappy meeting of the coil and top plate in the gap.
