Ive been looking for a 12 to run sealed in my single cab. Im considering a 2512 atm and did a search. A few members were talking about tuning a 2512 incorrectly and the spiders split. Would i run into trouble if i ran this sub sealed at 1.25? I can go as big as 1.75cu in my truck. thanks

I wouldnt do it, Id rather run an SA-12 sealed. Ur best bet, though is those Arc Flatlines on here. They shine in 1.3 cubes!!!
please do not talk about what you do not know.

The 2500 is perfect for sealed, it plays very flat and punchy. do 1.35ft sealed with double walls. I'd run it sealed over ported personally.

Please stop being a feggot. DD subs are hollow as schit, putting it in a sealed box aint gonna help that. Regardless, like I said, the Flatline will murder the 2500 in a sealed box. PERIOD.

lol experience>rumors on the internet. You have no idea what your talking about, not only does the 2500 kill the flatline using both methods of determination. It does it in real world as well. This thread is how will a 2500 work sealed, not a thread on you trying to pedal your nuthuggery

The icon isn't really comparable it's one step under and the xcon is one step up. The closest sub that is made by the same people would be the Q fully upgraded.
2500 is rated for 750...icon is rated for 1250...I don't see how it's one step under?

Well im looking to get it in a trade. Offering a RF p6002 + cash. Lol got some mixed feelings here.

Thoughs flatlines are 1000rms D4's, i can only offer 600 at 2 so thats a no go. Ill be using a memphis PRD1000.1 for power 1000x1@1

I'd like to see that 2500 take 2000 daily
soundpressure.com there are like 5 on there. I've ran 1700rms to a type r 10'' it's not hard when your power is clean

OP you will love it sealed, like I said experience with the sub > some one repeating what they heard on the internet from other people who have no clue.

it will play flat, not bottom heavy like the fi or sa's. That is why people call it hollow, it's not.

Personally I've ran an AQ SDC 2.5 12 sealed and it sounded fine. This is another sub that most people would never run sealed and is probably somewhat comparable to the 2500. I had a sealed box laying around and gave it a shot just to try something new and it sounded good. Got stupid low but obviously not as loud as a ported enclosure. I don't remember thinking it had a hollow sound to it at all.

lol ok cool, i wanted to hear from someone who actually used it sealed or comparable sealed. Hes trying to figure out how to fit DD 6.5 subs in a .4cu box into his 6x9 plates

Im not looking for the loudest ever, just make my JBL look childish lol. Also i am wanting a flat strong response 35-60hz or so

Your not going to gain by swapping your ported box for a sealed one. You may gain slightly windows up if you have a lot of cancellation with your current box. Sealed will get a lot lower then 35 as well, sealed usually gets lower then ported enclosures do.
