DD 1508 or JL Audio 8W7

i've done a couple of boxes for dd1508's. one was .6 cubes ported at 36hz, the other was 1 cube ported at 34hz. sounded good even in the undersized box. i have never built a box for the 8w7, but i've heard 2 different setups. one being the HO box from JL, and the other box i never got to find out the specs. although i liked the sound from the JL better, the DD was noticeably louder. it wasn't ridiculously louder, but my ears gave spl to dd and sq to JL.

I just ordered two 1508's from SPY on here yesterday and having him build me a custom box =] Plan to throw 1k to them, but seriously...in what instance would you take a JL over a DD?

1508. There is no question.

1508 will be a tad louder but to me the small difference in spl is not worth how much more amazing the w7 sounds.
