DD 1508 or JL Audio 8W7

Both rated at 500 rms. Was wondering which one would be better to try 139.9 bass race with? People have said nice things about the 1508 but do they really get that loud for 8's?

yes they get that loud, couple people have crazy scores with em

Yes the 1508's get loud. I haven't had any experience with the other 8's but like has been said people have been getting crazy scores with them.

Well as far as i know, the new sundown 8 is rated for 400 watts, im sure it'll take a good bit more but ive also heard of 1508s taking 1k watts.

1508's are loud for 8's. and can handle big power. I current use 4 in a SUV and more then happy with the.

Also I dunno your budget but your probably gonna pay twice for the 8w7 because of the name.

I've been trying to find someone locally to put their single 8w7 up against my dd1508 and no one has accepted my challenge. I am only running a wimpy 180 watts RMS to mine from a 25 to Life Punch 150 so the JL Fanbois should walk all over me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hell, that reminds me, I still need to build a "real" enclosure for my 1508. I put a baffle over a 10" enclosure that was 1 cubic foot net tuned to 35 Hz and left it alone...

You do realize that my amplifier is only rated to produce 180 watts RMS @ 4 ohms bridged, don't you? Here is a hint... That amplifier has 120 amps of fusing.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
