well seeing as how my last build thread got a little cluttered I figured that I will start a new one.... Be aware this one will be very slow. But I plan to go into detail on my testing for mwspl basic 3. So hopefully I can try some things out and provide some useful and innovative information. Now on to the details...
Part one- Audio
I've been thinking and designing, and testing and blah. I finally settled on 4 tantric md 12's -thanks @TaylorFade ; I figured I would try out the tantrics being that people are getting loud with them, they're something new, and they get down for daily subs as well. Enclosure wise was a little on the difficult side... being that the ranger has a few odd dimensions to it and their is not a lot of room... I finally settled on 7.6 cu ft tuned to 35 with 3 6" aero's. here's a pic-
the center console will not be in the truck unless I am competing so dont worry about it lol. The burp box will be vastly different but I need to test test test first... For power I will have my saz3500 and of course some beastly electrical.
The ranger is getting a new motor. Well, "newer" lol. I picked one up locally for 250. same 4.0 only newer. 114k miles, new h.c. pistons, aluminum intake manifold, and a couple other goodies. Im hoping to have it in soon...Im planning some other mods for the ranger as well... Im thinking 6" body lift, a decent set of 18s, some "big ol tars" and some other odds and ends along with a new coat of paint. trying to keep it simple but still stand out.
I will continue to update this thread with pics of all of the install... like I said it will be slow but it should be very interesting and hopefully it will provide lots of info. stay tuned.
