Dang... my amps got no output.

its a Profile CA 400 everthing about the freakin amp is fine. The power strip is on, when i check the ohm load at the speaker terminals it reads 3.8 ohms, the only thing thats wrong with it is it has no output. i dont get anything when i DMM the speaker terms... whats wrong?

i would call Profile but ya know its saturday tomorrow

best if you use a sine wave test CD signal. Music sometimes happens too fast to read. If you don't have 'em ROE has got 'em out there.

turn up your volume a good bit, 1/2 way or so,

DMM +lead to inside post on RCA, - lead of DMM on outer ring. and AC volts on the DMM, you should see how much signal is going to the amp.

or just plug in a boom box. I have a patch cable that is 1/8 mini stereo male (headphone jack) and L and R male RCA on the other end. let's you test stuff easy. the shack has 'em.

yep.. it's the part that sticks out, in the middle. the negative is the outer metal covering, hence 'sheilding'.

That would mean either they are not connected tight enough at the HU, or the HU's RCA outputs have blown, or that the RCA cables are damaged.

at least is ISN'T the amp. maybe some connection came loose between the HU and the amp.

yup i had that problem, i switched out amps and i was like wtf everything test fine then i was like oh wait i didnt test RCA voltage, and they came loose from the HU. i would just play a 60hz tone at few volume....
