Daily woofer choice

It seems to me that this is almost asking for eD O series 12s. Sealed enclosure with 1.3ish per sub and just shy of 400 watts per sub. He said $300 per woofer and the O's are $200 so he saves some money that he can put into an upgraded alternator and a battery regulator. 4 single 4 ohm VC wired in parallel for a 1 ohm load on the amp.
I would definitely have a remote sub level control for daily driving purposes with 4 subs.

the O's aren't a bad idea......but still keep the IDQ in mind

i'd say that if it's a show vehicle then go w/ the look you like best, i mean if it's stricktly show then you won' t notice much of a difference in spl anyways.....

I probably wouldn't spend money on buying another alternator. I have a 92 explorer which has i think a 95A alt..and i have the brutus 1500 on a brahma, and the only prob is minor light dimmage. With your alt..you should be fine in a daily driver. If you were to take it to shows or a sound off or something where your vehcile is gonna be parked and shut off for a long period..then maybe look in to a 160A alt or something...but other then that you should be cool. BTW..nice choice of amp..quality, and real good bang for buck amp.

No size alternator will do you any good if the vehicle is not running. If you show it a Cascade power supply or two is the only way to go. Can't use them for audio competition but for a show or demo vehicle, being able to plug it into the wall is money. For runtime with the engine off you need extra batteries.

4 or even 2 se 12s from respl.com would have you sounding and looking nicely......ive got 2 with a viper 1200.1d amp and it sounds fantastic

I like the look of the SE's - how much can I expect to pay for some 12" ??? Also, would you say the IDQ's, or SE's are better?? Thanks

I've owned both....in my opinion, the SE's got a little louder while the IDQ has better SQ. Both are great choices.

I emailed RE about pricing, I'd say they are more expensive than the IDQ as sound domain has them for $200 (have to with the dual 2 ohm)

in this situation between the two, I might lean towards the IDQ, very underratted sub
