Cylinder box question

Hey guys, I have a question for the box I will be constructing for my subs. I was thinking of a making a cylinder style box. I will be using 2 12" sub for mainly SQ (not sure which ones yet).

If I build a proper size box, will there a difference in sound compared to a regular box?

Also will the sound be affect since the box will be made out of fiberglass instead of mdf board?

Is there anything else I should be aware of before I start making the box?

shouldn't make a difference, as long as the glass is properly done, it shouldn't sound any different than a properly-built MDF box of the same volume.

im about to be doing the same thing except instead of fiberglass, i will be using synthetic, industrial strength gas distribution piping. Its gonna come in next week so i dont really know how it will sound, but the one thing ppl told me to watch out for was resonance. Maybe polyfill will take care of that?

its like 1 in. its harder than mdf and my local gas and electric company uses under ground to run natural gas and propane all over.

Any one know how I would calculate the width and depth of the box for a given volume, lets say 1^3 ft.

Excusse my dump question, but would I have to sand the inside of the box when using fiberglass?

Well the formula for volume is the surface area of the base times the depth of the tube. So basically take the inner diameter of the tube, divide that by 2 to get the radius. Then square that number and multiply it by pie. (in other words pie * r^2, where r equals the radius or one half of the inner diameter of the tube) And for the sake of 1 cu ft, divide 1 by what ever number you get from before to get the depth. The inner diameter of ur tube should be at least your cutout/mounting diameter for the sub.
