im looking for a 15 that is dual 4 ohms and can handle 1000 rms.

under 200 shipped is all i will spend.

CVX, TYPE R?

im buying tonite on ebay. im trying to get loud as possible. any ideas

cvx is suppose to be loud as crap but so is the type r. my choice would be type r because ive seen and heard awesome results.

Type-r would be louder, IMO.

But there's really no way to determine that for sure without testing both woofers in YOUR install.

i just got two Type-R 15's, and i was stuck with the same decision you were in. Not wired up yet tho. i gotta cut the holes out on the box still. If you wait a few days maybe i can give you some info lol.

i was stuck in a similar situation as you, chose the Hype-R's. yeah tons of people have em, and yeah, they are a pretty good sub. Then again, i got a buddy with two 12" CVR's, and they are pretty decent.

type-r or CVX will SMOKE a MOFO. Those subs are garbage.

Its really a toss-up, I think you'll be happy with either.

But if you go with the Hype-R, there is a lot more testing out there on them, and im sure you could get a good box design.

why do you say this? i want spl. i listen to rap 99% of the time. i heard mofos are louder than most in its class. i would consider the r and the cvx in its class because of price range.
