I'm having the hardest time getting a clean cut with this knu fleks. The stuff is amazingly thick and I got nothing big enough to cut through it. Im thinking my best bet would be to drop $30 on a pair of klein cutters. Also, fitting this stuff in a ring terminal is crazy should I just find some that just barely fit on there and crimp it slightly then just solder the hell out of it? I dont got a blow torch so that wont work.

I alwasy solder all my connections....

Just get a terminal that it fits into and crimp, solder, and electric tape.

you probably wont even need the tape but I always use anyways

from this thread:

i have these and they work fine for my 1/0 welding cable

My razor/knife combo works well on all wires.... I can cut through some hyperflex in a few seconds. When you put the terminal on the wire, try to twist and force every little wire into the bottom of the terminal, then twirl it until all the wires are in. Then you take a hammer and crimp one side at a time, making sure they dig into the wires, then you can solder/tape/ etc.

A really good steak knife will also saw clean through with some work.
yeah i need that like last week, something with smaller teeth would have probly been better, i had a little bit left and it kept grabbing instead of cutting thru it i had to keep rotating the wire

Went to lowes and picked up a pair of klein cable cutters for like 19 bucks. They cut through 1/0 cleanly. Now I just have to pick up some terminals and flux and Im going to crimp, solder, and heatshrink / tape each one. I have to pick up a pair of battery terminals so I can get the right size ring terminals and a fuse for my bat to alt plus an optima yt to top it off. Cant wait:D
