Cutout for sub

How big should the cutout hole be for a 12 inch sub....isnt the 12inches from the outside of the ring? any help would be appriciated

i dont have the sub yet....i am getting 2 12in. type x's or 2 12" JL Audio 12 w7's.....which i smore expensive if you know i like the sound of the type x's but alot of people are telling me to go with the w7's

i found it i think for the type x.....it says this but im not sure if it is it Mounting Diameter (top mount) : 277 mm (9.1") anyone know?

well... if you want to spend 800 on subs, w7's...

In my opinion, i would spend 600 at most on a set of 12s, and even that is pushing it... spend the rest elsewhere... (FYI, i have 4 12's, spent $200 for all of them brand new, )
