3 type-R's box size

what size of a box am i looking at for 3 type-r's i want it to be a sealed box

and should the box be partioned/baffled or one open box.

all one box, no dividers, just support.. say around... 2.25 cubic feet.

Type R's peform better in a ported enclosure btw. I had my two R's in a sealed enclosure and it sucked. Ported, totally different story

ive never done a ported box i dont know how to make it and to figure out all the air displacement port size where to put the port plus im putting it in the back of an early 90's comaro so i dont know if id hav enough room for a ported box

i would almost bet you would get better results with 1 or 2 ported vs the 3 sealed.

definitly do a chambered setup....if a sub dies by the off chance your other 2 wont have to run off the extra volume, add to that the the dividers act as bracing themselves....but I would go with 2 ported instead of 3 sealed....Isnt it going to be a wierd ohm impedance? Size-wise, shoot for 3ish...alpine recommends 1ft^3 max per sub and oversizing it will help bring out the lows better.

i would do a ported but i have no clue how to i dont know what measuements and where to put ports how big the ports are spose to be air displacement, i dont even know what that is lol ya

im not saying sealed is better im saying i dont know how to build a ported box and sealed is alot easyer lol i know ported is better than sealed for going loud

under User CP, on the left side, go to "send a new message"..type in "PV Audio" in the 'receipients' area, add a subject and text and send away....

an odd ohm impendance matters why??????? Who ever said it had to be an even number?

What if he got all D2's? I'm not saying it matters but If he's got an amp thats not 1ohm stable its something to to consider...if he's got 3 d4's then he's alright.

Edit: Should have done the math before I posted...your right tance, even if it's D2 he's only sitting at 1.3ish...my mistake
