Northeast Region Custom Sub boxes in New England

CT,DC,DE,MA,MD,NH,NJ,NY,PA,RI,VT,WV
I like this box, but there is no "true" way to get the best of both worlds. It's one or the other. This looks to be more of a musical box because of the low tuning. I really like this design for my truck though. This is a great design for a trunk car especially if he seals it off.

Thanks a million for the box. The thing is built like a tank and really quakes (wish I had the line driver hooked up when I was up there)....it's all good, I'll get the other sub re-coned this week and see you around the scene this summer.

For anyone just browsing this and on the fence, Dave is a really good guy and the boxes were rock solid, smooth and clean (he even smooths the bracing pieces inside!) Killer attention to detail and a good value for professional carpentry.

Thanks Jon, it was nice to meet you and I think when you have all your gear working you are gonna be a force on the spl scene. I can't wait to hear it with both subs and more power.

I appreciate the kind words too!

You aren't kidding, a guy I know had one of his enclosures for four 15"s , he didn't need it anymore and nobody had a ride big enough for it. So he tried to drive over it with a Bobcat and break it up, it didn't even crack. Thats a couple thousand pounds driving over the box and nothing happened, you know thats a quality build.

This is the one you're talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I couldn't post pics of it when I built it since he wanted it to be a secret. That box was double layer all the way around except for the baffle which was 3 layers thick. It also had bracing and 45's. Subs were going to be inverted and recessed too. Tuning was about 38 hz, built to be a brutal bassracer with a ton of power and 4 DC XL 15's.

It was a sick box, I gave it the special paint job that I use on my own boxes and added color around the subs to match the custom painted baskets. Unfortunately he couldn't find anyone with a Jeep or a van that could handle the size of it and had to get rid of it. Said his boss was on his case cause he was storing it at his job. I have the pic in my cell of him trying to run it over with the Bobcat, actually had it on the box and nothing happened. He said he used some kind of Bobcat attachment with 18,000 psi on the box and the baffle wouldn't crack or anything. Hell, if a bomb went off I'd rather be inside that box, lol.

I had the room, but not the cash lol. I didnt have the truck quite yet tho if I remember right so maybe I didnt have the room. I remember getting that picture mail and feeling true meloncholy about what could have been!

Just wanted to share a pic of something I was playing with today...

It does pretty well considering it wasn't built for my vehicle. Doesn't take up much room either.

Hey Dave we should throw that in my car and see what it does. Meter it then sell it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

oddly enough I just picked up an H2 myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif not for me, but I love me Orion H2's and their silly dual gap technology.

what if someone with a trunk wants it, and they are given potentially unrealistic expectations if it does better in your car? Kind of false advertising if you ask me.

If someone knows it was tested in the Yugo then expects it to do as well in a trunk car then they're probably not bright enough to buy the box in the first place. People here always surprise me.
