how hot does resin get?!? I know it gets pretty hot cause of the fiberglassing i did yesterday, but does it really get THAT hot? O_O;

i dont no i degrees...but its ont that the resin gets hot, its the fact that when resin dries, its an exothermic reaction, meaing that it gives off heat...if uve ever felt teh air around teh drying resin ull feel residual heat coming from that, and within a sealed area with no air ventelation i can get VER YHOT...enouhg tto re melt hot glue and make it release

ummm good job removing the sticker FTW!!! i say re do the yellow side... The orange side looked much better and your putting so much work into it i think it would be nicer and less work in the end to re do the yellow side... Not saying it looks bad but i am sayin that it looks like you did a much better job on the 2nd side... Never the less better then anything i have done yet to date and i think its comming along well... been watching this thread and will continue to...

lol i know exactly how hot resin gets... ever put resin in half a milk jug and once it starts kinning over pick it up? lol it was smoking on top... glad my car was open to the atmosphere...

UPDATE!!!!!!!!

so i finally got my glassing stuff in (thanks IONSQL!) and i started right away! heres what i came up with!

first off here is my bro helping with with taping off teh left side of the trunk...

next i start to resin teh largest and eisast part of the box...

here are my gloves to showq just how messy this sh!t is lol

oh and here is a pic to show how strong just a single coat of resin is...not too shabby eh?

looks good so far man, might wannt avoid droplets on your mitsubishi symbol though, cuz they'll be a pain to sand out later.

I see you are using Nitrate Gloves,nice call on that if you are messy otherwise the resin will eat through latex or vynyl
