finally i fleeced around the trunk latch piece...this is the only "wrinkle" i got...it will be covered with bondo...and the hole in the center of the ring is so i could reach my hand inside and work from that angle...everything is still tight on the outside though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

questions? comments? concerns?

^^hm...good question, im not sure, possibly...prolly not fiberglass, just resin mabye tho...^^

and use better suports for the rings. the fleece will warp with the resin drying, and knock your rings outta shape.
and to answer your question...

*when resin "drys" it creats an exothermic reaction, meaning it releases heat, so seeing as how teh dowl rods are GLUED in place, the heat bein given off from teh resin would act as a releasing agent anyway...

so, in essence, by the time the dowl rods "warp" the resin will have already dried/cured...thus eliminating teh need for them in teh first place...

Which is why you use a thinner material instead of blanket fleece. Sweatshirt material or t-shirt material will hold enough resin to be stiff enough to support subsequent layers of glass, but it won't hold so much resin that it deforms under its own weight.

That said, those are kind chintzy dowels you're using there.

that was not a qustion, iv worked with it long enought to know what it does.

also depends on how tight you wrap it, because it can contract while drying. which will lead to the warping.

if youre bringing the fleece all the way to the rubber molding then how are those chambers going to be sealed?

sorry but I just cant see this working out, doesnt seem like a good design to me
