You've brought up fire breaks multipole times in the discussion and your explanation of how Newsom is at fault for this recent set of fires. You then call the issue of a fire breaks a strawman, meaning it has no relevance to the discussion.
You then bring up fire breaks AGAIN after calling them a strawman yourself:
"didn't clear brush and didn't build fire breaks" as a
"massive oversight" in the context of these fires. This, despite a fire chief saying that even fire breaks as wide as a 10-lane highway wouldn't have made a difference.
If the fire breaks are just a strawman, STOP BRINGING THEM UP. Stop being like Trump, Musk, and any other idiot who makes shit up in order to blame a Democrat. Talk about the actual things that matter in the context of these fires, and why they were so devastating.
You're talking about a privately owned and maintained property. They handled their own brush, they have their own water supply, the building is not a typical stick-framed house, they had staff remain on-site to wet down the property and fight any fire that broke out.
Good question. Are you going to speak to what happened under the Republican administration prior to Newsom, or do conservatives not want to hold the people they elect accountable?
But, we've already seen proof that they took measures in California starting from the day Newsom was elected.
Increases in workers, increases in equipment, increases in prescribed burns, improvements and increases in hardware and equipment, etc.
It seems you are suggesting that they just poured money into a fund that never got used, or went to fire prevention personnel who just sat home and ate bon bons for the past 5-6 years.
I'll bet those folks would be happy to know that they are considered useless drags getting a free paycheck.
Here's the great Republican who is doing as much as he can to help with the problem.
Cool. So we blame Trump directly for the next fire that happens.
Accountability. Right?
