sonixelectronix - okay shipping packaging could have been better but what really impresssed me was thier customer service

 
any one know any thing about "tweeter" i think its a chain of car audio stores but i may be wrong it might just be where i live
tweeter is the best local audio store i have ever seen the first two places that i went two screwed me over in my opinion, sold me an earthquake amp that was doa and i had to return it to earthquake myself, the amp was never right after that blew two more times and is now a paper weight. second company i went to sold me a panasonic radio and couldnt even put the dang thing in right sub would not play. i went to tweeter and told them my problem and tweeter went in and rewired my whole system for free.................. they have been doing my installs ever since.

 
bought my hu from etronics. the shipping was fast, BUT

they ship through dhl, signature was required upon receipt. well im sitting in my living room and i hear the doorknocker. i get up and walk to the door and look out, there is a box sitting on the ground and the top is open, the delivery guy is getting in his vehicle in the parking lot. the top of the box had been opened, but everything was inside and nothing seemed to be tampered with. the guy prolly didnt hang around for my signature because of the damage to the box. i was pissed, i live in an apartment complex and theres always kids and people around. anyone could have walked up and grabbed it off my porch. hell imagine if i wasnt home, who knows how long it would have been sitting on my porch. everything worked fine, but it pissed me off. i guess thats more to do with dhl then etronics though.

 
let's do something called name and shame.....whenever you have had a bad experience with a company, name them and tell everyone on this forum what your problem/experience was so that others are aware....on the one hand this is aimed at illustrating to us all which companies and stores have a questionable record, but on the other hand also gives them an opportunity to improve upon their mistakes.....

Ordered a Power Acoustik OV2-300. Sent me an e-mail saying they got my money order and that the amp would be shipped within 24hrs. The next day got an e-mail with tracking number and arrival date. Received within 5 days. Would do business again.

RE Audio: A+

Ordered two s2vc RE 8. Got tracking number within a few days. Got subs in about 2 weeks. Now in my ladys second car. She loves them tuned to 45hz with about 150w each. Power acoustik OV2-500.

 
ive been ordering my stuff online for a while now and i can say..

crutchfield .. great service a little over priced but with the free stuff u get makes it worth the difference shipping is great ordered from them on friday recieved on tuesday all i needed was some rear coax and the intruction sheets they sent me covered everything from installing my new rears to amplifier bypass to cutting the door frame for componenets hehe

i know its not a big deal but it lets u know what in store if u decide to do the stuff and that in my opinion is a big +++ its like getting a haynes audio manual for your car

etronics ... bought my subs from them pioneer spl's great shipping super nice price couldnt be happier havent had to call them with any

problems so i dont know how customer support is.

elementaldesigns i have seen people complaining bout service and shipping but i personally didnt have any of those problems ordered a nine.4 ,nine.1 ,6000 comps and edead from them over the course of 5 days and recieved everthing no more than 4 days from last order customer service was great everything shipped quickly

 
I had my first bad experience come from two different online stores in the same day.

I always ordered from millionbuy.com. I ordered more last week. I receive an email today and they say my order is too expensive and any order over $300 requires me to send them a copy of my credit card, photo ID and my last credit card statement. This is extremly odd because just 2 weeks ago, I spent $360 off their site and I never had to do any of this junk. I am trying to order the stuff again but as 2 seperate orders this time. Hopefully it will be fine now.

My 2nd bad experience also came today. It took me a long time to find an infinity Reference 611a amp that would send to me. I finally find a site a few days ago. I order it and receive an email today saying they are out of stock. When I read that first line of the email, I thought "oh, no problem.. I'll get my refund." but later in the email it does not mention anything about a refund and says this - "We are very sorry all we can do it offer you credit and if you like anything in our amazon store that cost a little more we can give it to you for the same price." That is horrible news to hear as I looked at like 500 different sites for this exact amp and I am very picky to where I buy from and thought I found a reliable store to sell me it and they do not offer a refund? I emailed them saying I want my money back. Hopefully they will answer my email and say it is ok. If not then I am out of that money as I do not plan on buying another item from their store. BTW, that store is explosive electronics.

Overall, it's been a bad day. I still very much trust millionbuy and will purchase small orders from them again but I am dissapointed with explosive electronics.

in that case i would order the most expensive thing i could find that they would sell you at that price (that you knew you could resell) and take your loss i wouldnt just "give them the money" if you did a credit card you probably have credit protection against this however. call up the credit card company

 
the resell thing is something I thought of. Problem is, I am buying this as a gift for my Cousin and gave my cousin's shipping adress. So it will send to him. It was supposed to be a gift for him as I know he wanted this amp for a long time. I will be dissapointed if I chose something to send to him and he does not want it. And I know he will not want another product's amp even if it is basicly the same in terms of power and other features.

I guess I will try calling my credit card company and see what they can do if I do not hear back from this guy.

 
buy the most expensive one for that price tell your cousin what happend then resell the amp and get the one you want from somewhere else. . .and split the profits from the higher priced amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

 
good news after all. Product came in. It looks brand new and everything. I just need to test it to make sure it works. The person who sold me it asked me for a store rating and write a review... I may end up giving him a 4/5 for it. But overall a risky experience I would say but anyone that wants to purchase from explosive electronics, could do so, it ended up okay for me afterall and thanks to the guys who offered me ideas and suggestions to get through this.

One day later I recieved and order confirmation number and my credit had been billed. 4 days later product still had not shipped so I emailed them and did not recieve a reply. 2 more days and I called and after being on hold for 10 minutes was told they no longer carried that product and they would have to refund my money. 1 week later my money had not been refunded so I had to call again and finally got my money refunded.
