Crossover

I just bought :

Vifa XT25SC90-04 1" Dual Ring Radiator Tweeter | 264-1014

I have no idea what type of crossover/eq I need for these. Please provide a suggestion and reasoning for why I should choose them. I was going to run them off of the head unit, but I'm thinking about using them on a 2 channel amp I have sitting around..

Are the tweeters going to be in addition to the Alpine coaxials? A crossover isn't all you need. I recommoned an L-pad so you can really control the level of the tweeters.

They will be in addition to the alpine coaxials but would be ran off of the head unit internal amp or if that sounds like crap I was going to use a 2 channel amp I have sitting around.

I tried reading up on L-pads but didn't find any really good reading. From my understanding you use resistors inline to reduce the power the tweeters are seeing? If I use a dedicated amp to power them could I turn down the gain instead or is that not what the l-pad is for?
