crossover?

My amp's freq. response is 10hz-30khz, subsonic filter is 60hz-200hz and I'll be tuning my box to 32hz. So, that brings me to my question: should I get a crossover with a better subsonic filter than that so I can set it at 20hz or so? I would suggest that the 60~200Hz filter is a LP crossover rather than a subsonic filter...

Okay. Then (a) I was wrong and (b) the people that build Kole amps are idiots. A Subsonic filter is essentially a HP filter to keep the frequencies below your enclosure's tuning frequency from making the sub overextend.

Think about this: A general rule of thumb is that your substage starts to become localized around 80Hz and above so you normally will want to LP filter it around there and let your interior speakers cover everything from around 80Hz and higher. With that in mind, why the hell would you want to filter OUT everything lower than 200Hz? That's mind-boggling to me....

you weren't necessarily wrong. It is possible that whoever is in charge of their website some how messed up when inputting that data. I'll check what the numbers are on my amp later because I'm thinking the sub sonic did say 30hz at the bottom. But even if it is 30hz should I get a crossover to set the subsonic around 20hz to get some of those lower notes?

edit: so if these specs were right and I set my subsonic to 60hz and my low pass to 59hz... I get no sound? that doesn't make sense, so I think a) you were right and b) the people at kole are either idiots or paid around twelve dollars for another idiot to build their website.

Or that the "subonic filter" is a high-pass for the front stage amp and not a true subsonic filter.
