WOW am I a lost Nube OK here is what I have installed in my pickup

front = Infinity Kappa 6.1 perfect components 4 ohms with tweeter cross overs set at +4db

Rear = Infinity Kappa 5.7 2 way speakers 2 ohms with tweeter set at +3 db

Rockford fosgate Punch 8004 4 channel amp plenty of power 4X100 RMS 4 ohms

The front speakers are 100 watt rms and the rears are 55 watt rms.

I understand how to set the gains for my speakers, I know the frequency response of the speakers so what do I do with the amp crossover settings, I have no clue where to even start as I do not understand what this does?

I know its kind of a broad question but maybe just a hint at what the crossover does so I can reasearch some more?

BTW My Subs under the back seat have a seperate amp with seperate preouts from the HU so that all fine.

Thanks Biker

the xover is a control that selects what freqs you want to send to you speakers

there are 2 basic types, hpf and lpf, high pass filter, and low pass filter, high pass allows anything higher than selected to pass, a low pass allows anything lower to pass, so you'll want to experiement w/ your own setup a lil bit, but a good xover point for both your front and back will be around 80 (that's a hpf btw cause you want everything above 80 to be albe to play and anything below to be cut off), so start around 80hz for a hpf, if you have seperate xovers on the amp for the front and the back speakers you'll want to experiement independently....probably slightly higher xover point on the rears since they're slightly smaller in diameter and probably won't take the lower freqs as easily as your comps up front

after you select what freq sounds good on your front and rears you'll want your sub to have a lpf of whatever freq you set your front components to as to eliminate any gaps in freq response
