this question is actually for my home audio system

i have 2 4ohm subs, and im going to wire them together for an 8 ohm load (series wiring)

would i put one inductor on poitive side of the first sub, then one in the connection between the first neg and second pos?

No. Treat them as one sub.

One inductor in series with the pos wire of the first sub will give you a 1st order lowpass filter. Add a cap from there to the neg of the 2nd sub and you get a second order filter.

So just treat it as a DVC sub?

Another thing, what are the formulas for wiring 3 speakers together? In a parallel/series wiring, like having my 6 1/2 and my 5 in a series (2x8 ohm=16 ohm) then wiring it with my 3/8 tweeter (another 8 ohm) in parallel
