Hi there, me and many members here are confused when it comes to installing a system with many xovers. I read many posts and this is what i understud. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Lets say we have the worst case scenario: a HU with internal xover, an external active xover, an amp with built in xover, and a set of components with a passive xover.

1) assume that we did what t he gain setting tutorial told us about putting off all xovers and setting gain till we reach the right voltage with our normal equalizer settings....

2) as we said, turn off the xover of the HU( at the end when listening to different songs we will be able to set the LPF/HPF...for every song without going back to the trunk...)

3) we either use the amp xover or the external xover( many of u said that better to turn amp xover off ( or FP, AP) and use the external xover, if there is no external xover well we will use the amp xover

4) Even if there are passive xovers for the speakers, we must use the external xover and set it to HPF or the amp xover.....

Finally, when listening to music we still have a clearance or a possibility for tuning the system from our HU xover if its necessary.

Did i get it guys or no?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif:( i really find it not logical at all to use both xovers together the external and the amplifier built in.
