Crossover break in?

I hooked up my crossovers and I don't know if they have a break in period or something... but with my mids crossed over at 2750, they still play 5k just like before... right now I only have the low pass crossover hooked up to the mid. Did I mess up the values or does it just have to break in?(I heard caps have break in periods)

Measure the output at the speaker with an RTA. It should be down ~15 dB one octave above the low pass value. Play full range pink noise and hold the mic close to the speaker so you're not measuring reflections. You can check this with a smartphone RTA app. There's no break-in for a crossover.

There is some burn-in associated with crossovers (small sonic changes, barely if at all noticeable) but that won't affect the pass band the way you've described.

.33 looks like a small value for an 8" in a three way, even as part of a 12dB filter. Are you running an 8" with a tweeter and a super tweeter as shown in the diagram?

I was going to run the supertweeter so I could open my doors and have it be louder, but I decided to make a pro audio setup to hook up rather than open my doors.

So now I have an 8" and a silk dome tweeter that are going to wired together as shown.

I don't know what to do.. if it is in fact -12db at 5k, then it screams at -12db :/

Ok so now I have the tweeter and the 8" hooked up and it sounds killer.. Im just wondering now if the tweeter being 8 ohm, if it is receiving enough power?

Im considering hooking up a second morel tweet, they sound crispy.. although I believe I should have crossed them a bit lower.
