Critique my planned setup please

First system, tell me what you think and how I might improve or whatnot

Cabin:

-PG RSD6.5cs

-PG X200.2 (200x2 @4ohm)

---- $250 for the pair

Subwoofer:

-JL 12" W6v2 or 12" IDQv3 (undecided)

-PG X600.1 (actual rating about 700-750 RMS @1-4ohm)

-Sealed box, approx 1-1.2cu ft (considering ported box as well)

---- $500 for the pair (minus box)

Kicker/RF/Tsunami 4g Dual Amp wiring kit

---- $100

Rammat 76sq ft

---- $120ish

Total is right around $1000. Thoughts? Im still undecided on the JL vs IDQ. I think I would actually want more SPL since both should be great on SQ, however the IDQ is a little cheaper and can be reconed easily. How would both handle the X600.1 amp? Might I be better looking into the RE?

I would also consider a 13" W6v2 if I would see a noticable difference. I believe I can still fit that in my trunk.

are you sure that pg amp does 200x2@4?

cause that is in the grounds of blowing the rsd.

i see people running 150w to each side and that is pushing it.

Looks nice. Go for the ID sub and some KnuKonceptz wiring.

It's probably more in the 2x225+ range. And it won't be a problem as long as the gains are set low to provide 2x150w rms or less to the RSd's.

cant I just turn the gain down? Here are the specs:

# 200W x 2 (4-1 ohm stereo)

# 400W x 1 (8-2 ohm bridged)

There do make a X100.2 which is 100x2.

yea keep the gains all the way down.

Ok sweet. Does it make more sense to get the 100x2 (which is probably 125x2) to be on the safe side? I thought more power = better, lol. No really, thought it would be better for the future not to mention its somehow cheaper than the x100.2 by like $40 or so.

Nope, more is better, imo. Always good to have the overhead in case you ever want to change out the front comps to something that can fully take the 2x200w rms.

I agree with everything said. ID over JL any day. Also, get all the power you can and just set the gains to the power you need. They love about 135.

Ported should be louder, but if space is an issue get sealed.

Ok great, so how about the setup. How are the Xenon amps? How are each of those 2 subs in relation to the X600.1

I was also considering the Kicker 08 line of amps. x500.1 and the x300.4 (125x2 i believe) but thought the PGs would be better.

That will really be based on personal taste IMO. I like the looks of the Xenon over the kicker but I feel build quality is roughly the same.

^ exactly. It's purely subjective and comes down to taste/preference. Don't know if it's in your budget, but also check out the PDX amps. They're about 1/10th the size of those Xenons.

For me, I think the PDX is ***! I love those amps and have heard so many good things about them.

Sometimes I wish my Tru would break so I could try something else out LOL....not going to change unless it dies though.

What are the equivalent amps (models) in terms of power rating from PDX?

600-700 @ 4ohm and 2x150 or so @4ohm

Smaller amps sounds like a really good thing! Are they better performance wise or just smaller? I assume by your post they are much more $ though.
