is the Alpine Type X sub any good? How does it compare to IDQv3 and W6v2? (was thinking of maybe going all Alpine, well just high level consideration here lol)

For their ability to remain clean and authoritative with the lowest of lows, I really like the X sub's.... but I'd only put one in the Alpine recommended small sealed enclosure size listed in the owner's manual. But for me, the IDQ would be the better choice for an all around daily sub since the X's can seem a bit "bottom heavy" with the frequencies, which could potentially make it harder to blend with mids.
If you have the capability to go audition the X, certainly do so. But the result can go either way... you're likely to only love it or only hate it.
