critique and advise my SQ setup for Rx7

This is really my first SQ setup, and the car is a 93 mazda Rx7. I have all the equipment, but Just wanted all of your opinions mostly on sub location and any other advise you may have...

Here is the list of items being used for install...

Headunit - Pioneer F700bt

Doors: JL C5 650's

rear: leave blank or fill with current 6x8 coaxials (i think they're some model of memphis audio, but unsure - they were given to me)

Amp - JL 300/4v2

Sub (1) - Image Dynamics ID8v.3 (will use a sealed box, not built yet)

the components will have 75w continuous to them, and the sub will have 150w rms bridged

Am i in the right direction for a SQ setup with these products? Is there anything i can/could have done better?

along with the critiquing, I wanted to know what direction to face the sub? should i have it face front, exposed (meaning i can look back and see the face of the sub while sitting in the car) or should i face it toward the rear?

Thank you in advance

I don't see anything pointing you towards SQ.. I see a list of equipment and a car.. nothing else..?
Well, i'm a noob at this. Do tell me the path towards SQ that i am missing...

Also, do you guys think i should keep the coax's in for a rear fill, or do you think they will take away from the sound of the components?

Install is key. Which includes enclosures, deadening, tuning. SQ, as far as competition goes is reproducing frequencies at exact levels. Keeping a response curve flat. Imaging.

I love the ID8's for budgeted SQ. And the C5's do well. I'm assuming you aren't looking to win any trophies. If you are looking to compete, then an overhaul would be necessary.

Then you should be just fine. Those C5's should get down into 70-80hz and the ID can go up to 80ish hz no prob. So you just have to experiment with the x-overs to see which works best @ what and set it accordingly.

How much is the shop/online store selling the C5's for?

Imaging, Eq, Crossover, T/A, and deadening have a lot to do with SQ. I am no expert, but when you get into it, its hard to stop tuning and moving things around. You will come to find that its not really the equipment but what you do with it.
