Yes, because unless Ive ever owned one, I cant speak about them... unless its positive, right?
The sub isn't a practical purchase, much like your lambo example. Unlike the supercar example however, you can run two mustangs at the same time when we leave the discussion at subwoofers, where it belongs.
Im sorry that me explaining your sub of choice has a down side obviously pisses you off. Luckily Im not here to make friends with you.
Yes, Ive heard a UL. Yes, they are nice. No, you still wont find me jumping on the 'omg they are the best!!!' bandwagon. If I was exceedingly wealthy to the point I could justify paying an extravagant amount of money for limited gains (assuming Im wanting to run a sealed system only, and space is precious, or else the UL wouldn't even be considered under any circumstances), sure Id consider the UL. Id also consider buying an Escalade and then running an LMS Ultra, an array of Velodyne servo drives (superior to your precious UL in SQ btw), platinum plated Phoenix Gold Cyclones or some other such monetary nightmare. But most of us living in the practical world dont need to spend twice the money for limited performance gains (again, if any, depending on the situation).
You have/own/drool over very nice subs, if that mkaes you feel any better. But with that said, they simply aren't practical when considering the price tag. That is of course unless you MUST run sealed, MUST use .75 cubes or less, and MUST use 2500 watts. If all those stars align properly, and you are a wealthy person, then sure, knock yourself out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
